Alpenzoo Innsbruck is situated 750 meters above sea level which is the highest in Europe. This is a zoo that is “specialized” in housing of animals that live in the European alpine region. This zoo houses over 150 alpine species. This zoo is divided not divided into different themes, unlike many other zoos. In this zoo you walk around and you will see different species in different exhibits. In this zoo it is possible to book a special day to celebrate the birthday of your child. The fee of this day is not included in the entrance fee.  Also it is possible to visit the zoo with a school class. Alenzoo Innsbruck is a member of the European association of zoos and aquaria  (EAZA)

Animals at this zoo: White-tailed Ptarmigan, Different domestic animals, red deer, Hermit Ibis, European lynx, Different species of owls, diffent species of amphibians and reptiles, Common elk, European otter, kingfisher, Alpine Ibex, bearded vulture, American beaver, an aquarium with different species of fish, Goldcrest, wood grouse, Alpine Marmot, Brown bear, different species of martens, different species of raven, wolfs, European Bison.
