LegoLand Discovery Centre Texas opens 2011
The Merlin Entertainments Group will open a new LegoLand Discovery Centre in Texas. They plan to open in march 2011.
LegLand Discovery Centre is an indoor theme park for children from 3 to 12 years old. There are Lego themed rides and attractions, including a 4D cinema, and a Lego model city called Miniland.
This will become the third Lego theme park in the United States. Besides LegoLand Discovery Centre in Chicago and LegoLand in California.

Next Generation Haunted House
Especially around Halloween haunted attractions are very popular. Not just in the United States but all over the world. Parks in Europe are also using the Halloween theme these days.
In Branson, Missouri they opened the Castle of Chaos, the first 5D haunted attraction in the world! They combine a 3D movie with 4D effects and a game where you interact with the ride by shooting haunted things.

Sum of All Thrills launches at Epcot
Disney's Epcot launched a new ride called Sum of All Thrills. This is a robocoaster where guests design their own journey using special tools. It can mimic a roller coaster, aeroplane or bobsled. The ride includes high definition video, stereo and controlled air motion.

Disney's Star Tours 2 opens in 2011
Walt Disney Parks announced that several parks will undergo refurbishment within the next 5 years. One of their most famous rides, Star Tours, which first opened in 1989 is being upgraded and renamed to Star Tours 2. The 70mm film projectors will be replaced with HD digital 3D projectors and the simulator platform will also be upgraded. Filming of the new Star Tours is currently underway.

Six Flags plans to build park in Nigeria
Six Flags, the world's largest theme park operator, has announced plans to build a park in Nigeria. They want to open the new park in 2013 in the Calabar Cross River State and expect to attract millions of visitors to this region.
